TREE & OAK LIGHTING

Up lighting and moonlighting for live oaks and specimen trees

Professional Tree Lighting in Katy and Houston

Mature trees are often the most striking part of a Texas landscape, and they are the most rewarding thing to light. Light It Right designs and installs tree lighting for live oaks, pecans, pines, crepe myrtles, hollies and palms across Katy, Memorial and Houston.

Tree Lighting Techniques We Use

  • Up lighting from the ground to show the trunk and canopy
  • Moonlighting from fixtures mounted high in the tree, casting soft light and leaf shadows on the lawn below
  • Cross lighting from two or more angles to give large oaks depth
  • Silhouetting and shadowing for ornamental trees near walls

Installed Without Harming the Tree

How fixtures and wire are attached to a tree matters. We never staple wire to trees. We route wire on the back side of the trunk, protect it with copper conduit, and use stainless steel hardware that allows the tree to grow, so the installation stays hidden and the tree stays healthy. Lighting Live Oaks

Live oaks spread wide, so one fixture rarely does the job. We combine up lights on the trunk and major limbs with moonlights in the canopy to light the whole tree evenly. See how we light legacy oaks and lighting for crepe myrtles, hollies and more.

LED Fixtures Built for Trees

We use low-voltage LED fixtures in solid brass and copper, with lamps chosen for each tree, and stainless steel transformers with timers and photocells. Our fixtures and transformers carry a limited lifetime warranty, and the LightKeeper 365 plan re-aims fixtures as trees grow.
